Mike is a Jacksonville native and grew up on Mandarin Road. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for 24 years now. Mike has three children, one son in high school and two daughters attending the University of Florida. Mike loves where he grew up so much, he never left. Mike can walk to the end of his driveway off of Fruit Cove Road, look across Julington Creek, see Mandarin Point where he grew up and beyond that NAS Jacksonville where he was born.
Mike was a second generation Police Officer, following in his father’s footsteps and joining the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Mike retired from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office where he was assigned to the Detective Division for 20 years. Mike spent most of his career investigating Child Abuse, Elderly Abuse and the Financial Exploitation of the Elderly and Disabled. Mike spent his last five years with JSO assigned to a FBI Task Force where he investigated Human Trafficking throughout Northeast and Central Florida. In 2014 Mike and his partner were named Florida Law Enforcement Officials of the Year for their work in the area of Human Trafficking.
When Mike isn’t spending time with his family he enjoys weightlifting, hunting and driving his 1994 Jeep on Crescent Beach with his wife by his side. Mike is also a member of the Knights of Columbus and spends his weekends serving the community alongside his fellow Knights.
Mike has spent his life serving the public and the vulnerable in his community. Now, Mike wants to use the skills he acquired in law enforcement, and the passion he has for serving the community, to help people pursue their goals in the area of real estate.
